Yossi Kabessa, the Bryant and Lillian Shiller Fellow, won the Singapore Challenge 2014

Yossi Kabessa, the Bryant and Lillian Shiller Fellow at the Peter Brojde Center has won the Singapore Challenge 2014 in the Global Young Scientists Summit@one-north  (GYSS@one-north) that was held last week in Singapore. His proposal was about using biosensors based on genetically engineered bacteria to monitor the presence of a wide spectrum of pollutants and hazardous materials in the water supply system of large urban areas.

The Peter Brojde Center Dedication Cerimony

The dedication ceremony of the Peter Brojder Center for Innovative Engineering and Computer Science took place on June 4, 2008, as part of the Board of Governors week. The ceremony was attended by Hebrew University President Prof. Menahem Megidor, Head of the Selim and Rachel Benin School of Computer Science and Engineering Prof. Michael Ben-Or, Head of the Applied Physics Department and First Director of the Peter Brojde Center Prof. Aharon Agranat, the family of the late Peter Brojde, Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University, and faculty members.
